My husband, Autry, and I are native North Carolinians and have lived here most of our lives.  We were college sweethearts, and have three wonderful children and two grand dogs.  Loving to shop, my retail experience began when I was only 16.  Although I have pursued other professions throughout my life, retail has been a second job, just for the love of shoes and clothes. Autry and I had discussed opening a retail store for many years, but never pursued that interest.

Time passed, and in 2022 I was reminded me of my desire to open a store. We contacted Monkee's, met with the amazing owners and their corporate team. They are the finest group of people and Monkee's is an amazing company. Working alongside them has been a blessing.    

What brings me the greatest excitement about opening the Monkee's of Lake Norman, is knowing that people will get to experience the quality products and great service that our store will offer. We have a great staff and we are all elated to represent Monkee's in Birkdale Village, in Huntersville, NC.
